Del Mar College, Corpus Christi
he performance at Del Mar College in Corpus Christi is on
Friday, November 16 at 7:30 PM in Wolfe Recital Hall
features Duo46 with pianist Nathanael May (a.k.a. . the
Strung Out Trio). The group will perform a newly
commissioned trio by Del Mar Composition Professor Dr. Neil
Flory. In addition to performing several Violin and Guitar
duets , the SOT will play works from their latest CD
recording, Fables, Forms and Fears; a recording that has
received four 2008 Grammy contentions including Best
Classical CD, Best Chamber Music Performance, Best Classical
Contemporary Composition, and Best Engineered CD.

Katy Guitar Guild, Katy, Texas
The performance for the Katy Guitar Guild in Houston is on
Saturday, November 17 at 7:30 PM. This concert will feature
Argentinean music by Astor Piazzolla and Jorge Liderman. On
Sunday, Nov. 18 will be a guitar masterclass in the morning.
This is open to the public.
Nov. 19
Laredo Community College
The performance for the Laredo Community College is on
Monday, November 19 in the Martinez Fine Arts Theatre at
7:30PM. This performance features Tangos by the famous
Argentinean composer Astor Piazzolla, and music for the duo
including Scrapings for Violin, Guitar and I-Pod. In
celebrations of Karl Korte's 80th birthday, Duo46 will
perform his work written for them, Makam. A composition
inspired by Turkish and Arabic music. The morning of the
concert will be a masterclass for LCC students.
